This position is responsible for a variety of complex/ high level direct administrative and secretarial needs of the Physician Chief and Administrator of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Assistant to at least six other Gastroenterologists or Hepatologists, including the VA Section Chief.
Responsible for organization of sectional projects and activities as assigned.
Acts as liaison to various individuals and agencies as directed on campus and off campus.
Responsible for MD Call schedules and scheduling database management.
Under limited supervision, must independently perform reception tasks, office supply purchasing, and key tracking of operations, and customer service to inquiries.
This position requires resourcefulness, confidentiality, good judgment, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
The successful incumbent will be a self-starter, team player, proficient using a variety of computer software programs, organized and detail-oriented, possess the ability to set priorities, able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
